Gary Langenwalter joined the board in 2018 and was elected Chair July 1, 2020. He was drawn by Russell’

As board chair, Gary’s primary focus is on prevention. He is Managing Partner of Portland Consulting Group, bringing decades of experience in leadership development, non-profit work, strategic planning, improving organization health, and process improvement. He has authored 3 professional books (including one business novel) and 2 continuing education courses. He is a retired pastor from a progressive, inclusive church. He is Vice Chair of the McMinnville Planning Commission and active in Oregon Organization Development Network, his local church, and the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce. And he teaches certification review courses for ASCM, the Association for Supply Chain Management.

Gary earned a BA in management from the U of O, an MBA from Michigan State, and a Masters in Theological Studies from Boston University.

Gary lives with his wife Janet in McMinnville and enjoys spending time with her, their two sons and daughters-in-law, and their two grandchildren, all of whom live in the Portland metro area. He also enjoys fixing things around the house, creating bad puns, reading novels, hiking, and board and card games.
