Joseph Hunter
Vice President for University Advancement, Linfield University

Joseph Hunter is the Vice President for University Advancement for Linfield University. He is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive university advancement programs and serves as one of the five members of the President’s Leadership Team.

Joseph has served in higher-education advancement for 19 years, and most recently as the assistant vice chancellor of development at Vanderbilt University. Prior to Vanderbilt, he helped lead or contributed to successful fundraising campaigns at Wichita State University, Western Washington University, University of Oregon and the University of Wyoming.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and holds two master’s degrees from Virginia Tech. He and his wife, Sarah, and their two children, call the McMinnville area home.
