I’m a retired teacher who moved here with my wife from Elgin, OR, in 2000. That summer I began doing medical transcription for a company in Salem. I’m not sure what year it was, but one day I saw an article in the News-Register that Juliette’s House needed some volunteer help with their medical transcription. I only had a vague knowledge of Juliette’s House at that time,

but I knew it was a very positive organization. I called, went through all the necessary procedures to be able to work there, and began doing that one day a week, my day off from my other medical transcription job. About 2 years later, Juliette’s House then hired my medical transcription company to do their medical transcription. I then just did odd jobs, copying tapes and CDs, hanging pictures, etc. until I retired from my other job and “retired” from Juliette’s House in 2009. In 2019 or so I was asked if I would be interested in being on Juliette’s House BOD. I was honored to be asked and accepted immediately.

Diane and I have enjoyed our time in McMinnville. We enjoy our grandkids and great grandkids. We enjoy traveling. My main hobby is photography.
