In 1994, local professionals and community leaders came together to establish a child-friendly center for child abuse investigations, aiming to minimize trauma by reducing the need for children to retell their stories at multiple locations. Since opening as a nonprofit in 1997, Juliette’s House has served Yamhill, Polk, and nearby counties, handling over 300 annual medical and forensic assessments. Generous philanthropists Paul and Juliette Barber donated the building, with the center named in Juliette's honor. In 1998, we launched Safe Kids workshops in schools, later expanding to community Prevention Education in 2016, offering child safety programs from preschool through adulthood. Celebrating over 25 years of service, Juliette’s House remains committed to empowering children, educating the community on abuse prevention, and providing new mental health resources. This work, rooted in a movement that began with local visionaries, has grown thanks to community investment and dedicated professional partnerships.

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.
Thank you for supporting the children
and families we serve. At Juliette’s House,
we help children affected by abuse begin their
journey to healing. Each day, our team provides
compassionate care, guiding families from fear
and confusion to safety and hope. When
they leave, they are no longer alone but
supported and loved. Our care extends beyond
the initial visit, offering ongoing mental health and
family support to help children heal. We also work
to educate the community, raising awareness
about child abuse and empowering action.
Hope is the heartbeat of our work, and you
can make it a reality. Whether by volunteering,
attending a workshop, or donating, your
support creates a safer, brighter future.
Join us in bringing healing and hope to every child!
