Types of Donations

The mission to advocate for children's rights provides immediate and long-term support to abuse survivors and education to the public on abuse prevention and recognition. To sustain and expand the impactful work, nonprofit organizations rely on the generosity of the community. Donations can take many forms, each contributing uniquely to the centers' operations and outreach.

Types of donations that Juliette’s House offers include:

Volunteering

Donating time by volunteering is a profound way to contribute to child abuse intervention centers. Volunteers can offer support in various capacities, from administrative tasks and event organization to direct service provisions like mentoring for training programs. Volunteering not only strengthens the organization's capacity to serve but also enriches the volunteer's life with purpose and connection, effectively building an inclusive and growing community of support.

Hope Makers Circle

Monetary donations are the most direct way to support these organizations. They provide the flexibility to allocate funds where they are needed most, whether for day-to-day operations, emergency response, or specific programs. Financial gifts can be one-time or recurring, allowing donors to commit to ongoing support. These contributions can help cover costs such as counseling services, legal assistance, educational materials, and the maintenance of safe spaces for children.

Juliette’s House invites anyone to join our Hope Makers Circle by making a monthly gift of $10 or more. Monthly giving is the easiest, most cost-effective, and most convenient way to support our commitment. This vital funding stream helps to ensure resources are available for family healing.

The Christopher Robin Giving Society

Named in honor of the beloved character and “bestest friend” of Winnie the Pooh, the Christopher Robin Giving Society is inspired by his famous quote:

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.”

In so many ways, these words speak to the enduring legacy of Juliette’s House in the lives of the children and families we support. The Christopher Robin Giving Society is an exclusive group of donors who see the value in our mission and invest in the future of the children and families we support. Members receive exclusive benefits and are recognized according to three giving levels; Advocate, Protector, and Champion.

The Heartwood Legacy Society

Heartwood is the center, and often most resilient, part of the tree forming a strong core of support. Reflecting the heart of our tree logo, the Heartwood Legacy Society is composed of individuals who want to assure long-term success for Juliette’s House by giving through stock, IRA, estate planning, or a Charitable Investment account. Planned giving ensures our ability as a regional children’s trauma service that emphasizes continuous best practice, and advances the discipline of trauma-informed counseling services to create a thriving community that is deeply invested in the wellbeing of children. Heartwood Legacy Society members are invited to and recognized during an annual luncheon in the fall.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations refer to the non-monetary gifts of goods or services that meet the immediate and practical needs of the centers and the children they serve. This can include clothing, toys, educational supplies, and personal care items. For the centers themselves, in-kind donations might encompass office supplies, furniture, or professional services such as legal counsel, therapy, or renovation work. These contributions directly impact the quality of care and support provided to survivors.
